The strength and challenges of methods to control the capping process are discussed. The residual seal force method can characterize the capping process independent of the used capping equipment or CCS. We analyze the root causes of several cosmetic defects associated with the vial capping process.

Second, the skirt of the crimp cap is folded under the vial flange, which fixes the rubber stopper in the compressed position pressing the rubber stopper against the vial sealing area.
The vials also have high temperature resistance and are suitable for use in temperatures between -50°C to 120°C (although a rapid change in temperature of the products should be avoided). The Performance Level 1 vials are designed to identify those which are suitable for simple routine, testing with limited budget.
